One of the committee's great strengths is in partnering with other Temple committees and groups to complete much needed improvement projects that could never be afforded, if contracted to outside professionals.

Who We Are and What We Do
This team is responsible for the upkeep and well-being of the Temple buildings and grounds. Working together, with other Temple Committees, and with outside contractors, the Facilities Team's goal is to provide a clean, safe and fully functional facility to support the Temple’s ongoing mission.
During the past 2-3 years, the team has been heavily involved in many projects aimed at strengthening our security and protecting our community. Enhancements include the installation of an intrusion alarm system, which includes strategically placed panic alarms (with direct access to our local Police department). Bollards have been placed in the front and back of the building; security film has been installed on doors and windows, and a sophisticated system of surveillance cameras has been implemented throughout the building’s interior and exterior.
In addition to these significant projects, the Team is also involved in the day-to-day operations of the building – changing light bulbs, supervising HVAC maintenance, fixing minor plumbing leaks, etc.
Members of the Team meet weekly, on Wednesday mornings, at the Synagogue to work on our to-do list. New members are always welcome – please contact Pete Walsh at facilitiesmanager@brithachim.org for more information.
